Be part of something incredible

We’re now accepting applications for instructors for The Bake Fest 2025, happening virtually on:

📅 October 4 – Baking Day

📅 October 5 – Decorating Day

This year, we’re going all in on high quality baking and decorating education. No business sessions. No marketing talks.

We’re looking for instructors who can teach hands-on techniques or theory-focused classes that help attendees grow their skills and confidence.

Some topics we’d love to see:

  • Cake decorating (beginner to advanced, buttercream to sugar art)
  • Cookie decorating (piping, painting, royal icing techniques)
  • Pastries, laminated doughs, and viennoiserie
  • Breads, sourdough, and enriched doughs
  • Baking science and ingredient function
  • International bakes and cultural traditions
  • Chocolate work, candy, and confections
  • Cheesecake, donuts, cake pops, and more
Your class can be 1, 1.5, or 2 hours long. All classes are taught live and recorded, with support from our team to help everything run smoothly. You’ll be asked to provide a recipe, materials list, and prep timeline well in advance so attendees can bake along if they’d like.

Who Should Apply

We welcome instructors who are skilled, passionate, and great at connecting with bakers – whether you’re established or rising talent. That includes:

  • Home-based baking business owners
  • Bakery owners (small or large)
  • Pastry chefs
  • Cake and cookie decorators
  • Food bloggers, cookbook authors, and instructors
  • Influencers with an educational focus
We are committed to building a speaker lineup that reflects the full diversity of the baking community. We strongly encourage applications from instructors of all backgrounds, identities, and lived experiences.

Social reach is a bonus, not a requirement – but we do take it into consideration.

What to Expect if You Teach for The Bake Fest

If you’re chosen to teach, here’s what that includes and what we expect in return.

Your Commitments:

  • Teach a live virtual class on October 4 (Baking Day) or October 5 (Decorating Day), between 1–2 hours long
  • Provide a recipe, materials list, and prep instructions well in advance so attendees can bake or decorate along (if applicable).
  • Attend a 30-minute live panel/Q&A session immediately following your class
  • Actively promote The Bake Fest to your audience (we’ll provide everything you need). You’ll choose at least three promotional activities – like sending an email, posting a behind-the-scenes reel, or going live with another instructor
  • Work with our team to ensure your setup is smooth and your content delivers real value

What You’ll Get:

  • Direct access to a highly engaged baking audience
  • Promotion across our email list and social channels (every instructor is featured)
  • Your session, name, and social media link featured on our website
  • The opportunity to promote your business or offerings live at the beginning or end of your class
  • A list of opted-in attendee emails for follow-up and marketing
  • The chance to host a ticket giveaway to increase your own audience engagement
  • Ongoing exposure – your class and content may be featured again in post-event promotions
  • Credibility as a featured speaker at a well-known, high-trust event in the baking space
  • Opportunities to connect with brands, sponsors, and fellow instructors
We’ll review applications on a rolling basis and will reach out if your class is a strong fit.
The final deadline to apply is June 30 – but don’t wait. The schedule fills quickly.
Please note: Due to the volume of applications, we’re only able to contact selected instructors. If you don’t hear from us, it doesn’t mean your work isn’t valued – it just means this year’s lineup filled quickly or your class wasn’t the right fit for this format.
If you’ve applied before and weren’t selected, don’t hesitate to apply again. We aim for a mix of returning and new instructors each year – this could be your year.
And even if your session isn’t selected for The Bake Fest, we may reach out with opportunities to teach inside Baker Bosses, our membership community for bakers growing their skills and businesses. It’s another great way to connect, share your expertise, and build your brand.
